Walking tour of Halinen and Virnamäki – In Finnish!

Join a unique 1.5-hour walking tour in the Halistenkoski and Virnamäki area of Turku! This approximately 2.5 km route follows the Aura River and reveals stories from Turku’s early days.

On the tour, you will experience the idyllic village of Halinen, the powerful nature of the rapids, and the fascinating history of the Virnamäki ancient monument area. The guide is Pia Nurmi, whose expert narration brings the past to life.

The tour is conducted in Finnish. The tour is organized by the Aura River Foundation, known for preserving the nature and cultural heritage of the area.

Tours will be held on May 9 and May 14, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Places are limited to a maximum of 30 participants per tour, so please book your spot in advance!

Price is €15 per person.
