Access to the river is a critical aspect of the recreational use of the Aura River. The routes and methods of accessing and moving along the river require cooperation among the foundation’s various stakeholders. The routes and modes of transportation along the Aura River include, among others:

Swimming
It is important to us that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy and benefit from the Aura River. Swimming plays an important role in creating positive Aura River experiences for people of all ages. There are no public swimming areas in the Aura River. The Aura River Foundation is committed to improving swimming opportunities along the river, including negotiations with landowners, monitoring water quality, creating and maintaining safe swimming areas, and communicating about them.
