Resident Budget 2021 – Activities in Halinen and Korois
Asukasbudjetti is the City of Turku’s way of implementing participatory budgeting. It allows Turku residents to propose, develop, and—by voting—decide how one million euros of the city’s budget will be used. In the proposal phase in spring 2020, the Aura River Foundation participated with five development proposals for the Halinen and Koroinen areas, all of which were selected for further processing from among 340 proposals. The measures have since been developed further, and every Turku resident aged 13 or older can vote for them to be implemented by 30 September 2020 at https://asukasbudjetti.turku.fi/
The Aura River Foundation’s proposals are:
- Removal of harmful aquatic vegetation from the Aura River
- Kayak docks for the Aura River in Koroinen and near the Kuralansilta bridge
- Information sign for the dock area below the Halistenkoski rapids
- Electronic notice board for Halistenkoski
We warmly support many other local development proposals for the Halinen, Koroinen, Maaria, and Paattinen areas. More information about the Resident Budget and all proposals can be found at https://asukasbudjetti.turku.fi/
